On April 22, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release, providing an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. Given the size of the data impacted, the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is expected to take several months. UnitedHealth Group believes this situation will impact “a substantial proportion of people in America” and is offering immediate credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. Attention Medicaid Members: New ID Cards Coming for 2024, Affects Pharmacy Benefits

As of January 1, 2024, we will be working with Express Scripts to manage our pharmacy benefits.

This change means you will soon receive a new ID card for 2024.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO NOW:

  • Keep using your current ID card until January 1, 2024. Do not use your new card yet – it won’t work before January 1, 2024.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO ON JANUARY 1, 2024:

  • Start using your new card on this date. You will need the new card to get your prescription drugs. Throw away your old ID card on that date.
  • Make sure your pharmacy is still in our network. You can check this on our website. Use our “Find a Provider” tool. The website is listed on the front and back of your ID card. Or you can call Member Services. The number is on the back of your ID card.
  • Make sure your medication is still covered under our formulary. You can do this by using our website. The website is listed on the front and back of your ID card. Use the “Drug List” section. Or you can call Member Services. The phone number is on the back of your ID card.

Please keep your ID card with you at all times. Think of your ID card as your key to using your benefits.
